Geh nicht in den Blumengarten

Kabir says:

Do not go to

the garden of flowers

O friend, go not there!

In your body is the garden of flowers.

Take your seat on the thousand petals of lotus

and there gaze upon the infinite beauty.

This title refers to Kabir's poem and serves as a friendly, a tongue-in-cheek invitation to enter into my garden, stay for a while and contemplate, and maybe discover something that pleases you.

Using shapes and textures inspired by nature I playfully assemble paper, colour and shape. I aim for the greatest possible simplicity.

You may recognise elements of an imaginary landscape, a flower, a mountain, a piece of sky, or a symbol, an icon or just abstract form and colour, a feeling. As the ancient sages said, as above, so below.
