About
Sigrid Jones studied German and History of Art at University of Vienna (graduating with a Mag.phil.), holds an MA in Media and Communication from the Institute of Education, University of London, and a degree for Primary School Education (Lehramt für Volksschule).
Her interests have always spanned the fields of Education, Culture and Creativity - Cultural Studies, Language, Literature, Mythology, Design, Art, Crafts, Film & Media, Education, Literacy.
She has lived and worked in New York, London, Frankfurt and Vienna, and spent extended periods of times in India and Nepal. She now lives in a small village north of Vienna in the Weinviertel.
She worked as researcher and lecturer at universites and colleges in the UK and Austria. Health issues have forced her to give up teaching and research.
Increasingly, she found joy and fulfilment in developing her own art practices, starting 2012 as member of the International Union of Mail Artists, IUOMA aka xx Jones, and occasionally participating in Group Exhibitions.
